2. Why do we collect personal data and what kind of information do we collect?
Below you can find an overview of what personal data we collect about you and what we use them for. We also state our reason for processing the data in the various cases: Entering into and fulfilment of agreements: When purchasing any of our products, we register your name, phone numbers, payment information, the type of goods you have bought and when you bought it, as well as delivery information. In addition, we can also process information on returns. Complaints and repairs: If you make a complaint about a product or ask us to make a repair, we need contact information to be able to register the complaint, carry out the repair and provide information on service status, service history, any product upgrades, and to keep you updated on the matter. The processing is necessary for us to be able to fulfil our obligations according to the agreement with you. Some suppliers also require your identification in order for them to approve or carry out the repair themselves. In these cases, we share the necessary personal information with that supplier. The purpose of the registration of the data is to fulfil and administer our agreement with you and to follow up the sale internally in our organization. The basis on which we process the data is the fulfilment of our agreement with you. However, when we use these personal data for the purpose of establishing your customer profile, to provide you with personalized marketing and to meet our need to be able to administer the sale appropriately, we base our processing on a balance of interests, and we have made that assessment that the protection of your personal data does not outweigh these interests. Customer service: Depending on the matter, we need to know who you are, what product you have bought, your address and / or your phone number. We only process the personal information we need to help you. These are e. g. your name, purchase history and contact details (email, phone number). We believe that we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data to answer your questions as precisely as possible, and that our interest in this processing outweighs the protection of your personal data when you contact us and request service. Creating a user account: In connection with your purchase, we want to set up a customer account for you, if you didn’t have one before. Your purchases will then be linked to your account. Your purchase history and your transactions will be available under “My Page”. The purpose of the processing is to enable you as a customer to track your deliveries and allow you to see your purchase history. You will have access to your personal information through your account, and you have the opportunity to have your information on purchase history and your account with eChip International AB disclosed or deleted. In order for you to be able to have your information disclosed and possibly deleted, we will ask you to identify yourself by email. User account management: We have access to your customer account and your customer profile to be able to administer your contact information and any consents you have given to receiving our newsletter, promotional offers or the like. As we are responsible for ensuring that our information about you is up-to-date, we will receive information from third parties to update information that you have given us regarding address, name, mobile number, telephone, gender and age. We believe that we have a legitimate interest in streamlining our contact with you and in processing your personal information through a customer account, and that our interest weighs heavier than any possible inconvenience to you, especially since this processing also facilitates your contact with us. Personalized information online: eChip International AB wants to be able to adapt its marketing and information to you as a customer in the best possible way. This means that if you are logged in to your customer account where you are identified by your email address, name, address and purchase history, we will use the information in your customer account to align the content with your purchase history and recommend products that are relevant to you on all the devices you are logged in to. If you are not logged in, we will be able to use the information stored in the information file (cookie) that you have accepted in your browser for the same purpose. You can delete the cookie yourself through the settings in your browser. When you move on our domains, we have a legitimate interest in marketing products that correspond to the products on which our relationship to you is based, and in our opinion, this interest outweighs any possible inconvenience to you. 5. Storage time
Your personal data related to purchases will normally be deleted when there is no longer a need to store the data in order to be able to answer your questions and the complaint period for the product has expired, and if we do not need the information for a longer period of time to meet other legitimate purposes or obligations by law, for example in relation to the Accounting Act.
